We grow a wide range of cut flowers. We have several varieties of Asters, Glads, Zinnias, Sunflowers, Dahlias, and Snapdragons to name a few. They are available at any of the Farmers Markets we sell at or call us at (712) 336-1650 for availability.
Our chickens are a cornish cross broiler. We try to raise them as antibiotic and drug free as we can. The chickens are free roam, and will average four (4) to six (6) pounds. This summer we plan to experiment with raising part of our chickens on pasture. We will have two batches this year and will post processing and pick-up dates as they become available. We anticipate the price on chickens to be around $2.75 per pound, but we may have to adjust the price due to the dramatic rise in feed costs. Chickens will come dressed, bagged and frozen. Our turkeys are a white, broiler variety bird. We raise our turkeys as natural and drug free as we can. They will average 12 to 15 pounds and will be processed the first or second week of November, so that you will have them for you holiday feasts. We only raise a limited number of turkeys, so place your order early to insure availability. Turkeys will come dressed, bagged and frozen. The pheasants we raise are a Chinese Ringneck variety. They will average three (3) to four (4) pounds. They make a very nice roasting bird and do not have the gamey flavor of their wild relatives. We raise a limited amount of pheasants, so please place your order early to insure availability. We anticipate a processing date in mid to late October. Our price on pheasants this year wil be $15.00 per bird. We also will have some smoked pheasants available for an additional $2.50 per bird.
